About Course
The International Intensive Academic Course on Shi’i Studies by Hikmat International Institute covered the history, key doctrines, branches, rituals and practices, spiritual teachings, as well as political thought of Shi’i Islam. It mainly focused on the Twelver Shi’i tradition, to which the majority of the Shia belong today. This was a university-level course, designed primarily for students and academics who wished to enhance their understanding of Shi’i Islam. It was the most comprehensive course available online about Shi’i Islam, consisting of 18 sessions that covered a wide variety of aspects of this important faith tradition.
The instructors were among the best academics in these fields. Each session lasted 2 to 3 hours, depending on the instructor’s plan, and included a combination of lectures and other educational activities.
